Former Gov Hogan says he left behind a big Maryland budget surplus. Current Gov Moore says he inherited a structural deficit.
What’s a relatively well educated and informed voter and taxpayer to think?
This is a great example of the kind of political spin (by both sides) that results in confusion and frustration. It discredits all politicians. It undermines Americans’ faith in the political system.
A joint press release by Hogan and Moore on the facts would help … and would be a credit to both of them.
